Adult Literacy Program

What it's like:
Learners in the adult literacy program meet with a tutor one-on-one or in a small group.  One-on-one tutoring sessions meet twice a week for an hour and a half.  Small group classes meet varying amounts of time, depending on the subject.

The Adult Literacy Program can improve skills in:

-reading, writing and spelling

-math

-GED, ASVAB and LPN exam preparation

-Drivers License Exam preparation

-English as a Second Language (ESL)

-Job readiness

-Computer literacy

Tutors and learners meet at a time and place that is convenient for both.  Tutors use a wide selection of materials to help the beginning readers apply their skills to daily life, including information about health, employment, shopping and voting rights.
